iKi Safe Respectful Learners (SRL) Workshops provide the tools you need to meet and exceed the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.

Studies have shown that children need fair, positive and consistent guidelines to flourish. At the heart of the iKi SRL program is a set of principles that provide the foundation for effective behaviour management. Via a catchy song, students learn the iKi Rulz and quickly ‘own’ them. The language clearly communicates expectations and consequences and is easy to implement inside and outside the classroom.

Additionally, research shows that incorporating physical activity into learning environments leads to changes in brain activity and better performance in cognitive tests, concentration and social interaction. iKi SRL workshops show you how to incorporate the iKi Fitness activities in their classroom, service or even at home. And did we mention it’s fun?

Ki SRL One Day and Half Day Workshop Outcomes

The goal of this course is to provide teachers with tools and strategies to improve classroom managment and optimize student learning.

Effective classroom management requires use of Evidence Based tools and methods, including positive guidance strategies for promoting appropriate individual behaviour and a range of methods for maintaining a good group-learning environment. Course participants learn to define mutual interaction as it pertains to children’s behaviour in all contexts, identify aspects of effective praise and encouragement, and demonstrate an understanding of the importance of routines for early childhood development.

Behavior management is one of the biggest challenges childcare Educators and Teachers encounter on a day to day basis. This course offers strategies, guidelines and activities to help build a productive and respectful learning environment, while also providing key practices to dealing with challenging behaviour.
